The first of its kind in Malaysia, Top Women in Security awards recognizes women who have advanced the Malaysian security industry. The awards were given to 10 women security managers who have displayed exemplary leadership, persistence and resilience in their career and community.
By offering recognition to women working in the field, other women may be inspired to consider the security profession as a career, which in turn helps address a common imbalance and contributes to diversity, said Bonnie Butlin, the founder and international coordinator of WISECRA, a global network of female security professionals.
