ASIS Malaysia CPP Pre-Exam Seminar 2026: Two Days of Learning, Preparation and Professional Growth

The ASIS International Malaysia Chapter recently concluded its CPP Pre-Exam Seminar 2026, bringing together 10 security professionals for two intensive days of learning, discussion, and preparation for the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification.
Over the course of the two-day seminar, Peru and Chris guided participants through the key domains of the CPP Body of Knowledge, exploring the fundamental principles, practices, and concepts that form the foundation of effective security management.

More than simply reviewing content, the seminar was designed to help participants understand how to apply their knowledge in an examination setting, identify areas where further preparation may be needed, and develop a more structured approach to their CPP journey.
The sessions included discussions across the CPP domains, practice questions, knowledge-sharing, and practical insights drawn from the facilitators' experience as security professionals. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange study approaches, discuss real-world security challenges, and learn from one another.
Key Takeaways
Throughout the two days, participants focused on:
Deepening their understanding of fundamental security management principles and practices
Exploring how to apply their knowledge effectively in an examination setting
Assessing their readiness and identifying areas requiring further review
Working through practice questions and receiving feedback on their approach
Sharing study methods and building connections with fellow security professionals
Learning practical tips and test-taking strategies to support their preparation

A key part of the seminar was creating an environment where participants could openly ask questions, challenge their understanding, and learn from both the facilitators and their peers. The exchange of experiences reinforced that preparing for the CPP is not simply about memorizing concepts, but about developing the ability to apply security management knowledge in different situations.
We would like to extend our special thanks to Search Training Center, our valued partner for this session, for supporting the delivery of the program and providing the platform for this learning experience.
Most importantly, thank you to our participants for their active participation, thoughtful discussions, and commitment throughout the two days. We hope the seminar has provided you with greater clarity, confidence, and direction as you continue your journey toward the CPP certification.
This is only the beginning. We look forward to continuing to support the professional development of security practitioners in Malaysia and, with the support of our partners, hopefully bringing the CPP Pre-Exam Seminar back again soon.
