It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I address you as the newly appointed Chairman of ASIS International Malaysia Chapter for the 2023-2024 term. I am honoured to have been entrusted with this position and to serve alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share a passion for advancing the security profession.

 

As we step into the future, it is important to reflect on the challenges we have faced over the past couple of years, particularly the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has reshaped our world, significantly altering the way we live, work, and operate. However, as security professionals, we have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and the ability to navigate through uncertain times.

 

Now, as we emerge from the pandemic, our focus must be on shaping the future of the security profession in Malaysia and ensuring that we are well-prepared to address evolving risks and threats. The key to success lies in collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional development. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the outgoing committee members for their tireless efforts and contributions in advancing our chapter's mission. I am confident that, with their continued support, we will build upon the foundation they have laid and achieve even greater heights. Also, let’s continue to remember the great contribution and leadership of our late Chairman, Dr. EL Ching from 2019-2021.
